In the Village
Discover the greater Geneseo region where you can dine, shop, and play. There is always something happening on Main Street, just a few steps away from campus.
Around the Region
Gather some friends. You can be at Letchworth State Park or Conesus Lake in 10 minutes, an area ski slope in 25 minutes, Rochester in 30 minutes, or the heart of New York State's wine country in less than an hour.
As you will soon discover, there is a great deal to see and do on campus and in the surrounding region. Have a good time, expect to make a few new friends, and let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more informative and fun.
In the Valley
The scenic Genesee River Valley is spectacular during every season of the year. You will detect a decidedly English influence in the vicinity of Geneseo. Early residents expressed their affection for English country style by introducing the trappings of that life—gracious manor houses, equestrian parades in traditional dress, and fox hunts—into our part of New York State.
Besides being rich in history, The Genesee Valley is a great place for camping, hiking, golfing, fishing, swimming, canoeing, sailing, cross-country skiing, and biking.
On the Water
Nearby Conesus Lake is just one of many attractions that offer outdoor adventure, fun, and relaxation. For members of Geneseo's Crew Club, its sparkling waters afford the perfect setting for workouts and competitions.
