Cultures Learning TOGETHER, Inc., a non-profit that resulted from efforts to incorporate community service learning and cultural awareness was featured in the Greater Rochester Health Foundation's 2022 Annual Report. TOGETHER, initiated in 2015 by two instructors in the Department of Global Languages & Cultures, Rocío Vallejo-Alegre and Beth Adams along with SUNY Geneseo students, seeks to build cross-cultural bridges through sharing language lessons to empower others to have a voice in their community. In addition to the weekly English sessions, the team works toward meeting the basic human needs of immigrants and migrants living in and working on local farms by connecting them to services available to support their health and well-being.
