Roy Smith

Roy Smith has performed as 2nd Trumpet in Symphoria (Syracuse, NY) since 2013 and regularly appears with the Buffalo and Rochester Philharmonic Orchestras. Mr. Smith received his education at Roberts Wesleyan College and Northwestern University and has also performed with the Greensboro Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, Roanoke Symphony, and New World Symphony. Mr. Smith is the music director at Gates Presbyterian Church and has previously taught trumpet at SUNY Fredonia, Houghton College and the Hochstein School of Music, as well as heading the music program at Lima Christian School. He lives in Irondequoit, NY with his wife Julie and their two sons.
