Calling all high school juniors and seniors: Want to test-drive your future?
This summer, SUNY Geneseo is opening a select number of college courses to high school juniors and seniors. These online courses are taught by Geneseo faculty and will be taken by both college and high school students. Students may earn college credits by immersing themselves in a course that engages and prepares them for post-secondary education.
Registration is now open for courses ranging from film studies to philosophy, chemistry to art history, political science to microeconomics. For a full course listing, visit Pre-College at SUNY Geneseo.
“Taking pre-college courses at Geneseo offers students all kinds of benefits,” says Christie Smith, interim director of admissions. “In addition to earning college credit and learning what to expect in a college classroom, they’ll have the chance to read college-level material, explore different interests, and learn about college life from outstanding Geneseo faculty.”
Pre-college courses have no pre-requisites—all students need is an interest in the broad subject matter and enthusiasm for discussing it with other students. Course credits can be applied to a student’s degree if they attend Geneseo, or they may request a transcript from Geneseo and have the credits transferred elsewhere.
