SUNY Geneseo’s Starbucks has introduced a new beverage to celebrate the college’s 150th anniversary.
Last semester, Campus Auxiliary Services called on several Starbucks baristas to curate an anniversary drink to feature on the menu during the 2021–22 academic year. Four baristas crafted unique iced beverages using the special Starbucks 150th espresso blend. The coffee shop featured one drink each week during April 2021, and the Geneseo community voted for its favorite.
The winning beverage is the Geneseo Sunrise, created by Maggie Hewitt '22. The drink combines raspberry and vanilla shaken with an anniversary blend espresso and a splash of oat milk topped with a strawberry sweet cream cold foam.
The Geneseo Sunrise is available now at Starbucks, along with the 150th special espresso blend.
