  • Ph.D., Experimental Physics; Cornell University (Solid State Surface Physics)

  • B.S., Physics; Brown University

Experience

  • Postgraduate Researcher, Univ. of California at San Diego

    Graduate and postgraduate work was in Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) of metallic (primarily gold) and semiconductor (primarily gallium arsenide) surfaces.

Research Interests

  • The Physics & Psychophysics of Sound & Music

  • Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors (SSNTDs), especially CR-39

  • Finite Element Simulation of Ballistic Impacts on Ceramic Armor
