I Received a Conditional Offer of Appointment - What Happens Next?

Are you a new employee here at Geneseo? Welcome! Here are the next steps that will help you get started at Geneseo.

1. Complete the applicant release for background authorization form

Check the email account that you used to apply for your position in the SUNY Geneseo job portal.
You will receive an email from one of the Human Resources staff asking you to complete the Applicant Release for Background Authorization Form via AdobeSign. We need you to complete this as soon as possible to kick-start the onboarding process!

Check the email account that you used to apply for your position in the SUNY Geneseo job portal.
You will receive an email from Geneseo (helpdesk@geneseo.edu) to claim your Geneseo email account. This email will include instructions on how to set up your Geneseo email account.
Supervisors and Department Heads will also receive a copy of this email.

3. Check your Geneseo email account and sign your appointment letter via AdobeSign

You will receive an email from one of the Human Resources Staff via AdobeSign asking you to electronically sign your Appointment Letter.

4. Check your Geneseo email account for benefits information meeting email and time-sensitive forms to complete

You will receive an email from one of the Human Resources Staff that contains your virtual benefits information meeting time and date. Check your Geneseo Google Calendar for this meeting time and date.
This email contains an AdobeSign forms link of electronic time-sensitive forms that must be completed before or on your hire date. Please read through the first page of the instructions carefully!
This email will also contain information regarding your benefits programs.

Your department can assist you with obtaining keys and set up card access.
