Research
Research Experience for Undergrads
The National Science Foundation funds a bunch of REU projects all around the country! Applications are typically due in January or February.
Research at Geneseo
Often, professors are looking for students to work on a research project. Whether funded by a grant or as a directed study, these are great opportunities to gain experience with math research. Don't be afraid to ask a professor if they have any projects you can work on!
Internships
National Security Agency
The NSA has several internships and scholarships for undergrads, on topics ranging from cryptanalysis, number theory, data science, and more! For the summer math internships, go to their student programs page and search for CASA SP in the Internships tab. Applications are due in October!
Excellus BC BS Internship
Are you interested in actuarial science or data analytics? Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield has an internship program in Rochester where you can get hands-on experience in a professional setting! HRTP: Public Health
HRTP has research and data analytics internships for the summer, fall, and winter! This internship is located in NYC, and you will get one-on-one mentorship working in the field of public health.
