Digital Pedagogy
Whereas online learning refers to courses and programs of study designed to be pursued primarily outside the classroom, digital pedagogy is a more general term encompassing instructional methods used both online and in the physical classroom to advance particular pedagogical goals. These goals, such as promoting collaboration and facilitating project-based and experiential learning, typically serve an educational vision that sees students and faculty as partners in setting the agenda for learning and evaluating its results.
The Center for Digital Learning coordinates with the Teaching and Learning Center to provide resources and professional development relating digital pedagogy to best practices in higher education, with CIT to support faculty's use of digital tools for instruction, and with Milne Library to promote the use of open educational resources.
