Research Interests

  • Causes and consequences of the marginalization of women.  
  • Sexual assault, underrepresentation of women in positions of leadership and STEM fields. 
  • Subtle forms of sexism and socio-cultural factors that shape perceptions of women in these domains, and how these perceptions impact women’s behavior, self-esteem, and self-perceptions.

Student Involvement

  • Research assistants are responsible for the following tasks:
    • Conception of ideas
    • Study design
    • Data collection and analysis
    • Presentation of research findings

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • First-year, sophomore, or junior standing.
  • Multiple semester commitment.
  • Satisfactory completion of PSYC 250 or PSYC 251.
  • Interest in/passion for all aspects of the research process and social justice.
  • Reliable, hard-working, and demonstrates professionalism.

Additional Comments

  • 2-3 credits offered per semester.
  • "I am hoping to create a lab in which more senior members are given leadership roles and assist in the training of newer students.
